Robert “Bob” Schroeder was named Internal sales manager for Saporito Finishing Company in Cicero Illinois. His duties will be to oversee the day to day operations of the quotation department.
Bob has shown a tremendous drive in learning all aspects of the quotation department and the plating and anodizing business, seeking out knowledge to better himself, the quote department, and the company. He takes charge of a great team with a focus on customer service and continuous improvement.
The quote department is critical to the success of the company for many reasons. During economic downturns, their efforts help drive sustainability and lessen the impact of customer slowdowns brought about by lighter demand, outsourcing of work to foreign countries, loss of business to other domestic companies, or obsolescence of parts. The quote department is also a vital engine for growth during good times, fueled by accurate quotes turned around in a timely fashion. Quick turnarounds lead to increases in business for our customers and ultimately increases in our business while the accuracy of the quote makes for the start of smooth and hassle free processing of parts from Order Entry through invoicing.
