Saporito Finishing is Nadcap Accredited in chemical processing (AS7108) and Aerospace Quality Systems (AS7104). Saporito has been an important part of the Nadcap chemical processing task group since it’s inception over 15 years ago. Few chemical processors in the world have as thorough an understanding of Nadcap and the chemical processing task group as Saporito Finishing. Saporito is a voting member of the Chemical processing task group which is the group responsible for the maintenance and revisions of the AS7108 specification and the operating procedures of the task group.

Nadcap originally was an acronym for the National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program. Since becoming a global specification and entity, Nadcap is no longer an acronym.

Saporito Finishing is ISO certified and has been since 1997. Saporito used the Performance Review Institute (PRI), Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, as it’s registrar .
Created in 1990 by SAE Inc., PRI is a not-for-profit organization. It exists to advance the interests of the mobility and related industries through development of performance standards and administration of quality assurance, accreditation, and certification programs as well as related activities for the benefit of industry, government, and the general public. PRI is the sole registrar and Administrator of Nadcap accreditations, the National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program. Since becoming a global specification and entity, Nadcap is no longer an acronym.

ATF (Federal Firearms License)

Saporito finishing is a Federal Firearms Licensee. Our current license is a Type 1 Dealers License, which allows us to anodize and hardcoat firearm parts that require a Federal Firearm License to produce. Saporito provides a number of finishes on weapons for manufactures of firearms subject to the National Firearms Act, such as the M16 rifle. This includes receivers, frames, handles and other components. Common finishes provided by Saporito include Hard Coat Anodizing, Electroless Nickel, Bright Nickel, Dull Nickel, and Black Chrome.
